Signs You Grew-up Way too Close to the Woods

I'm not saying I grew up in the woods, but moving to one of the world's largest cities has definitely given me some perspective. No shame on Loveland, Ohio. But ya girl definitely feels the shift.

1) You find it easier to be with deer than with actual humans

Is this normal? Proooobably not. Should you check yourself into a psych-ward? I mean.. Snow White built her fame on being a little crazy, so what is to stop you? Right? I hope.

2) Your ideal weekend is hitting the trails

Bike trails, hiking trails, they're all happy trails for you hehe. Like #1 pointed out, you really aren't made for the whole talking to people about the-whatever-it-is-they-talk-about thing. Which explains why anytime, someone asks you about your plans, you immediately freeze like a deer stuck in headlights. That's what you get for spending so much time with them. Next thing you know, you'll be eating your neighbors' sunflowers. Mmm, crunchy.

3) Bonfires

Maybe this is a midwest thing, maybe it's a rural/woods thing. Either way, you're burning a lot more shit than any normal person should. Hand over the marshmallow stick psycho. Also, this might be where my pyromania stems from. Never give me a lighter. Unless you want to watch the world burn with me. Peace at last.

4) You're basically Steve Irwin

From snakes to coyotes, there is little you fear. Except for maybe Republicans at a Walmart. But growing up close to the woods has made you adept to all sorts of creatures.

5) You need your nature time

Just you and the sound of leaves brushing against the wind. It's what the soul needs.
